Welcome to the incredible world of the Parimoos. Everything you've ever wanted to know about us is now just a button click away. To a stranger,
unaware of our existence, this site may seem a bit indulgent. But if you are someone who's life has been touched by a Parimoo, you will want to go through this documentation very thoroughly. And if by chance, you happen to be a Parimoo yourself, well then this is your lucky day. Smile.....you are on the web!(if u search hard enough, u may find ur name mentioned somewhere :))
On a more solemn note, the picture you see on the right is that of our house, our home at 126/127, Narsing Garh ,Srinagar, Kashmir. We lived in Narsingh Garh from 1960 to 1990. This house carries more than just memories, it holds our roots. Even if symbolically, it represents the one true home our future hopes to return to.
As you will find out, the Parimoos are a big family. But in this site, we follow the lineage of Pt. Bhagwan Das Parimoo. This is a site commemorating his life and the lives of the generations that followed him.
It was my dad's idea to have a family site on the net.If it had'nt been for his encouragement, im not sure this site would have been possible. A special thanks to my buddy Anish Nair for great tech support, endless criticism and
negligible encouragement. Thanks too to my mum, whose timely interventions to drag me away from my computer
to the dinner table helped me keep my sanity throughout. Thank you all.
So without further ado, let us now embark on our quest to find out what the Parimoos are really all about.(if that sounds dramatic, blame it on the genes) *For optimum results, hold the mouse arrow over each of the menu buttons till they become red; without clicking. Do the same for 'the parimoos' header. I think the server is not able to handle the javascript mouseovers, hence the problem. I shall try to rectify it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
